iQIYI has recently announced that it will launch the first ever 4K VR integrated headset in the world. The online entertainment service company added that the headset can support 8K panoramic video playback as one of its features.
As mentioned above, the VR II’s upgraded version features an 8K panoramic video playback as one of its functions. It will also have a image rendering technology together with a fully functional and upgraded 4K LCD quick response screen. This is designed to provide users with a revolutionary “portable 4K movie theater” experience.
“Clarity, fluidity, and the sense of immersion in a virtual theater are crucial to the VR experience,” Founder and CEO of iQIYI, Mr. Yu Gong, told reports. “iQIYI’s VR II takes each of these to the next level, with four-times higher resolution than standard 2K screens and a 35% improvement in computing performance. We’re confident our upcoming 4K VR headset will set an entirely new benchmark for VR, and once again transform the consumer entertainment experience.”
Gong also added that the future of the VR in terms of technological product innovation will be depending on the seamless integration of software and hardware. This will also help with the creation of new business models of the said product.
Additionally, the company was also named as the “Best VR Technology Innovation Award of the Year” recently in January 2018. With this, iQIYI will be much more motivated to push the planned innovative solutions. Which is aimed to transform the consumer entertainment experience consquently.
iQIYI First Quarter 2018 Financial Results
Furthermore, iQIYI has also announced that the dates for its 2018 Financial Results for the first quarter. On April 26, 2018, the innovative market-leading online entertainment service will be reporting the said results after the U.S. markets close.
Also, the management will be holding an earnings conference call at 9:00 PM on the same date. A live and archived webcast of the conference call will be available at the website of the company. More so, a telephone replay will be available after the conference call through May 4, 2018.
